The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in cooperation with the departments of agriculture in Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas, is investigating instances of sickness and demise in horses. The FDA is conscious of not less than 98 horses in these states who’ve developed neurologic signs. At least 45 of those horses have died or have been euthanized resulting from declining well being. Their signs are in step with botulism.

The FDA is cautioning horse homeowners to not feed Top of the Rockies alfalfa cubes with the date codes 111222, 111322, 111422, 111522 and 111622. Manzanola Feeds of Manzanola, Colorado, has recalled these cubes straight. The firm straight distributes the alfalfa cubes to feed shops and co-ops in 10 states. Further distribution is feasible, so you will need to examine the date codes when you have this product.
